Z at 104 pitches. Two errors and a HBP didn't help. I think they need to send him out for the 6th and hope for a quick inning (while having someone ready in the bullpen just in case).

please let that be it for z... he's not locating well and he really doesn't need another 120+ pitch outing on his arm.

This is why a good long man is worth his weight in gold.

Is Gaudin rested?

How man pitches is Johnson at?

It'd be nice to get him out of the game... he's probably on some kind of short leash given that he's just back off TJS.

The batting order doesn't freaking matter... stop making such a damn big deal about it.

So if you would have, just theoretically, the pitcher batting between Lee and Ramirez, it wouldn't matter?

You've missed the point.

What exactly might that be?

Let's not take it to stupid extremes here. That doesn't even need to be said.

But you said it doesn't matter. So where is the line drawn?

At something ridiculous like putting the pitcher anywhere near the top of the order?

This has been talked about a million times. Do I really need to make a whole argument about it now?

He was at 84 going into this inning. He's due up second in the bottom of the inning. This should be his last inning

seriously... if lee had a .400 OPS then this might be a good comparison. he has an OPS in the low 800s, i'm pretty sure whoever you put in the 3-hole is not going to do a whole hell of a lot better than that.
