I've been out of town and moving and what-not lately and just realized how insanely awesome Marmol has been the past month or so. Very glad he's back to the beginning of the year Marmol.

No runs in the 2nd half / since the Giants meltdown. ERA all the way back down to a more Marmol like 2.95

It doesn't hurt that he got bailed out of a bunch of the runs he gave up in the Harden (debut) game...

Heh, the Cubs won the series despite being outscored.

I was just about to point that out. We always complain when that happens to the Cubs, it's nice to be on the other side of it for once.

Or LR = Left Right, as in left foot, right foot in a walking the line test?

It's a play on LaRussa's name as well as his tendency to go with the lefty-lefty and righty-righty matchups out of the bullpen.

Part of that was they made a scoring change in that Giants game, putting in an error which led to some of the earned runs Marmol gave up becoming unearned.

You probably did do a better job of explaining it than me, though...

these aren't exactly "bad/meh" for middle infielders.

True...Theriot's line isn't bad, that was a mistake. But DeRosa's numbers are lower than what they've been the last couple of years.
