Vitters could be one special player. I don't remember who it was, but one comparison was to a RH version of Joe Mauer, with 25 HR+ power. Now THAT, is a #3 hitter.

 

wow wow....Lets just hope he can be a major league regular.....To many cub high draft picks didn't even make it to the show...Cpatt would be a successful cub pick based on how we have drafted.

 

Okay, I know he's a long ways a way, but he's got more potential than probably any pick we've had in the past 10 years, as far as hitters go. Harvey and Dope were HUGE power threats, but weren't real hitters at any point. Vitters is a real hitter with power potential.

Kendrick is kind of an odd one. I had thought he would follow the mold of Placido Polanco in 2005 and 2007, a guy who makes crazy contact and hits for crazy average but he doesn't make as much contact as I thought but still hits for crazy average.

 

Throw out the Polanco/Pedroia comps I guess, he's his own beast.
