Both Chicago teams will enter August in first place, but for how long? The Sox blew a 4-0 lead and now trail 7-4

Couldn't happen to a better team! :amen:

And as I say that Dye hits a 2 run HR, Sox trail 7-6 in the 8th

Just wanted to say that now that the Cubs are 5 games up....

If the Cubs go 27-26 the rest of the year....the Brewers would have to go 32-21 to catch us....the Cardinals 31-20

Yeah, lets not do that though. Lets roll through the Pirates(sand Cub killers), Astros(now with 100% more Latroy Hawkins), and Cardinals.

Wow. When you put things like that, I am even more excited about the rest of the season.

I just want the best record in the NL so we have HFA in the NLDS and, god willing, the NLCS.

Stupid All-Star game.

Just for good measure, let's go 32-21 the rest of the way, and force MIL to go 37-16 and StL, 36-15.

If we can go 30-23 (or better) the rest of the way, we can  bye-bye to these two and run away with the NL's best record.

If the Cubs go on that roll, then chances are the Cubs should pass the Angels in record (I think they will fade abit in September, not much) and be crowned "Best team in baseball." Not that I want the crown of "Best team in baseball" before the end of October.
