When will Cubs lose 1st place?

Last time I did this, they went on a nice winning streak, so let's give it another go.

I hope I'm wrong, but probably when they're playing the Brewers next week. I really don't see how the Cubs are going to suddenly not be terrible on the road, especially playing the Brewers at home when they're playing VERY well.

The earliest the Cubs could lose first place be tomorrow night not Friday if the Brewers sweep the Cards and the Cubs get swept by the DBacks and lose the first game of the Marlins series.

If we do fal out of first, we could be in trouble, as we have the toughest schedule between the 3 NL Cent contenders

 

we have: 2 series vs. the Marlins, 3 vs. the Brewers, 3 vs. the Cards, and 1 series each of Mets and Phillies.

 

Brewers have: 3 vs. Us, 1 each with Dodgers, Mets, Phillies, Cards(2 more this series+another 2 game set)

 

Cards have: 3 more vs. us, and 1 each of D-Backs, Phils, Mets, Marlins, Dodgers, Brewers(2 more this series, plus another 2 game set)

I'm not really scared of the Brewers in Milwaukee. They were awesome at home last year and we managed to have a winning record there.

Worked again. Now how about winning the next 8, too. We would have a minimum 5 game lead over the Brewers and the Cards would essentially be finished (unless they somehow won all 8 as well)
