Does he think that Hart and Longoria are such bigger names than Burrell and Dye that the league has to do whatever possible to get them in the AS game.

 

On another note, would it really matter that much if the AS game voting was rigged?

Chuck Garfien finds it outrageous that people would vote for Longoria. He also compared Dye to Longoria by using their offensive counting stats, and nothing else. No mention of the fact that Longoria is a stud defender at 3B, and Dye is a bad RF.

 

Just because Chuck Garfien doesn't know who Longoria is, doesn't mean nobody else does. The 2 of them also were utterly ignorant to the fact that people could vote more than once.

It's still possible that Burrell could be named to take Soriano's spot.

 

Wasn't Halladay named in his place or did he just take his place starting?

 

Holliday was named to his starting spot, but he was already on the team. They'll still add a player.

mostly i'm just pissed that burrell didn't make it. he's been underappreciated for a long time, and even though he's having his best season, he still doesn't make the all-star team. he was more deserving than nearly all of the guys who actually did make it in the NL outfield. i guess i always liked burrell even though i'm fairly sure the cubs have never ever gotten him out.

I think what I meant to say was Roy Halladay joined the NL and is taking his place in the outfield.
