I was looking forward to interleague play this year, as I thought the NL had a pretty good chance at beating the AL and proving the belief that the AL is the superior league wrong. I totaled up the interleague records, and the AL is up 96-71. I can't see the NL closing that gap before the end of interleague play. Maybe next year...

It's been said many times before. We have just as many top teams as they do but our medium and bad teams are worse than there's. For instance the Cards just beat Boston, and we beat White Sox but virtually everyone else lost.

All that really confirms is what we all really knew to be true: The NL West really blows.

That, and you have a few teams that should be doing better. Philly, for example, is 2-7. Florida and AZ should be doing better as well. But yeah, the rest of the NL West accounts for almost all of that. The Pads and Giants are a combined 5-19.
