Cubs think fan behavior has been OK

Kenney took part in the daily meeting with Cubs security at Wrigley on Wednesday, where the issue was discussed after a Tribune report Tuesday quoted a Cubs official as saying: "If someone was overstepping their bounds [in abusing Soriano], we would quickly correct the problem."

One bleacher season ticket-holder told the Tribune that crowd-control personnel let bleacher fans know on Monday there'd be no tolerance for Soriano abuse.

"There has never been a lot of yelling at Soriano in the first place," he said. "But the Cubs increased security in left field Monday, maybe because of the [dropped fly on Sunday]."

But the Cubs said that was not the case.

"We did not advise our security guards to change their behavior at all after the Pittsburgh series," Kenney said. "Nor are we aware of any incidents of ejections or anyone being disciplined. To be honest, the boos I've heard for ... Jimmy Edmonds [on Tuesday] were a lot more severe than anything I've heard related to [soriano]."

So roast, did they give you guys special instructions or not?
