what does Russell's future look like, is he a solid prospect, stuff?

 

sorry if this available somewhere, i remember him from draft, but didn't really pay attention to him

He got 3rd round money last year so the Cubs think highly of him. He's got an 88-92 mph FB, a plus change (best in the system) but his curve was lagging behind a bit during his junior year in Texas. Good control too. I think he's a solid prospect considering how quickly he got to AA and if his curve progresses this season (I don't know how it has looked since he turned pro), he'll probably be a good back of the rotation starter.
