8/29: 2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K, 2 GO-2 FO.

At Iowa: 9 IP, 7 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 12 K, 1.50 GO-AO.

Overall in the minors: 17 IP, 13 H, 3 ER, 4 BB, 20 K, 1.23 GO-AO.

Is there a "drooling" smiley? Because that would apply here.

I felt he got squeezed by the ump several times, his stuff looked great. If Lou had gone to him instead of Howry we win that game last night in 9.

His stuff was electric. Especially that one pitch that hit 91 but had the break of most mortals' curve. He sure looks like a good option to replace Howry on the playoff roster.

If Howry makes the playoff roster I will be pissed.

Is it safe to assume that Guzman will be limited to relief appearances and those of no more than 2 innings?

With at least one day off in between, yes.
