Blue Jays signed second baseman Aaron Hill to a four-year, $12 million contract with club options for 2012, 2013 and 2014.

He's practically the new Tim Wakefield. It's odd that Hill would give the team options for each of his first three years of free agency, especially when he's only being guaranteed $12 million. Now he may not control his own destiny until his age-33 season.

I dont know much about Hill...Is that a good deal? isnt he just like a mediocre second baseman?

He put up decent numbers last year, but many think it was a fluke year. He probably is no more than a .750 OPS player.

This is off topic a bit, but do the Blue Jays have any plans for a new stadium in the future?

I don't know but in Syracuse (their AAA team) we just went back to grass after the Jays pushed us to get turf previously. I think it would be a possibility they might and I hope they do. The Sky Dome is the home of my only Cub win!

Wasn't Russ Adams suppose to be Hill's DP partner for the future? Did he never develop?

He's been playing OF here. They signed the other guy that plays SS to a multi year deal so that pushed Adams out. I thought Adams was going to be a decent SS but he never really showed it up with the Jays.
