Burns gives up two runs in the top of the 6th and Iowa trails 2-1.

 

Peoria still leads 1-0 in the 7th and Daytona leads 5-4 in the 5th. The Tennessee game was finally postponed after a lengthy rain delay.

Iowa falls 4-2. Patterson and Murton each went 1/4. Murton actually stole a base as well. Iowa's only runs came on solo shots by Torres and a PH homer by Bobby Scales.

 

Peoria defeats Burlington 7-3. Rosa went 3/4 with two doubles. Drew Rundle had a homer, a double, and two RBI's. The Chiefs pounded out 12 hits with 7 players getting at least one hit and four players getting two hits or more.

 

Daytona trails Brevard County 8-6 after 7.

Daytona rallies for 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th and holds Brevard County scoreless in the top of the 9th for the win.

After looking over Daytona's lineups this season, I'm guessing this will be a team that tries to nickel and dime its opponents to death. There isn't a whole lot of power in that lineup, but tons of speed and contact hitters.
