Outside of Fukudome, I think Ward may have the best approach at the plate of our hitters.

 

Watching patient hitters bat is really enjoyable.

 

Watching them bat for the Cubs is enjoyable, watching them bat for other teams is frustrating and at times depressing.

 

 

I was just about to say the same thing. Especially with a guy like Turnbow on the mound, there's absolutely no excuse to not be patient.

I think a good pinch-hitter off the bench is an extremely undervalued commodity these days. Look at what Ward did for us last year, and what PH's like Glenallen Hill did for us in the past. Those are very valuable members of the team.
