you're misremembering.

 

if this were the Cubs, we'd be told he would be ready for Opening Day.

 

then he'd miss one start

 

then he'd be ready for the home opener

 

then he'd be out 2-3 weeks

 

then he'd be out until June 1

 

THEN he'd go on the 60 day DL, retroactive to Spring Training

That's more like it. But it is sad, the way his career has spiraled out of control to the point that being healthy is a surprise.
