Oregon fans shouldn't be rushing the field today. Your team is the #5 ranked team in the nation and is ranked HIGHER than USC. This is not an upset.

I have no problem with them doing it given what USC has done the past 5 years.

They need to change the overtime rules again. This system is terrible.

i love the OT system and wish the NFL would adopt it

Really? I think it's terrible. I wish college would use Sudden Death like the NFL does. There's just way too many instances of games going to 3rd and 4th overtimes in college,

Oregon is the higher ranked team and they were favored in the game though only by 3. They should have won the game. Rushing the field should be reserved for upsets of higher ranked teams. This wasn't an upset and the higher ranked team didn't lose.

I'm usually in favor of fans rushing the field but it's just stupid in this case.

I agree. I love the college OT system and hate the NFL system because the team that loses the coin flip might not even get a chance to score. So basically the game could be decided on a coin flip. Which is incredibly stupid.

Multiple OT's is one of the best parts of the college football OT. To be able to experience the game going longer and longer and the tension level gets higher and higher as the OT's go on.

Let's say the Colts-Patriots game goes into OT next week. Do you really want the winner of that game to be decided by an OT coin flip? Because with those two teams, their prolific offenses, and their great kickers, that's exactly what it would be decided by.

Great catch by a Georgia WR for a touchdown.

I have no problem with them rushing the field. The students in that student section have never seen Oregon this high before. They have a shot at the national title, absolutely needed this game to have a shot at the title game, and were playing a team who had destroyed them and everybody else the last few years. You add all that and add a very close game decided in the final minute, and rushing the field is a natural reaction for those students.

Exactly.

UCLA quick strike offense. 3 plays, 62 yards and a 50 yard TD run by Kahlil Bell. 7-0 UCLA up in Pullman.

Oregon got up to #6 in AP Poll and #5 in the BCS back in 2005 though they didn't have a shot at the National Title.

Like I said, fans rushing the field should at least be reserved for an upset which this most certainly wasn't.

UCD getting killed right now. It's 21-0 at halftime, they've been outgained 280-120ish, and South Dakota State has a time of possession advantage of over 21 minutes to less than 9 minutes.

Florida's about to go down.

And Connecticut beat South Florida.

Florida about to lose. USC lost. Now if Ohio State can just lose tonight, and today will be a great day.

Mizzou probably played their worst game of the year today but still came out with a win. It was nice to see Tony Temple back today, and he made some nice cuts, but I fear that we might've lost Pig Brown for awhile.

Gotta refocus for next week's tough game at Boulder.

Hopefully A&M can pull out the win tonight and Mizzou will move into a tie for first in the North.

Why just upsets? Why not potential program-defining/changing wins?

You don't know if a win is program defining/changing until a few weeks later. What if Oregon comes out and loses their next three games and the bowl game, still think this win is program defining?

You don't know that an upset is really an upset after a few weeks if the losing team tanks.

But you can tell right now whether it seems like an upset today. Which Oregon's win most certainly isn't. That's completely different from a program defining win.
