I'd rather have Lilly on 3 days' rest and have Zambrano start the first and last game of the series. Then, he'd also be line to start the first game of the NLCS.

 

I'd also advocate using Marshall as a long reliever if any of the starters begin to struggle. In his August 24th start against Arizona, he pitched six innings of two hit ball, striking out five and picking up the win.

Is it even possible for these two to happen simultaneously?
