hmm that commercial got me thinking... how many hits can a team have in an inning and not score... the answer is apparently 6 and the Cubs haven't managed to pull it off yet.

 

not even the cubs are that ridiculously unlucky.

No, the guys being thrown out at home would be force outs, not singles. I was thinking:

Depends on the reactions of the runners. Imagine three flyballs hit to someone like Soriano that just barely drops in front of him (causing the runners to hold until the drop), but Soriano immediately grabs the ball and guns it to home for the out.
