It looks like I will end the regular season with a victory. A disappointing season (considering that I made the play-offs last year), but there is hope with Buchholz, Maybin, Kendrick, Slowey, Votto, etc.. 2008 should be better.

Good luck in the play-off! I just hope it is someone besides NSBB or GHS. :D

Looks like I'm going to knock off Raw this week despite having only 4 pitching starts. Three of them were Marquis (20.05 points), Glavine (28), and McGowan (32.75). Quality over quantity. And it was Raw that traded McGowan to me. :D

Yep, McGowan 32.75. Raw Dawgs starting pitching in 6 starts 31.5.

Chris has 5 pitching starts for 3.1 points.

ouch

Better ramp it up for the playoffs - that won't beat Tim!

Playoffs? Don't talk about playoffs. Are you kidding me? Playoffs? I'm just hoping we can win a game, another game.

At least I finished .500 after two losing seasons and beat my combined win total from my two previous seasons. Mediocrity rocks!

as long as you competed within the division.

Exactly .500 within the division, exactly .500 against the West, exactly .500 against the East playoff teams (winning both against HBC, losing both against GHS, and splitting against Raw Dawgs). That's consistency.

Another regular season points victory for me. Hooray.

I'd rather have the bye. :(

Congratulations Tim! Didn't think you'd beat out the Raw Dawgs this year. Congratulations to all the playoff teams too and thanks to everyone else on another good year.

I wouldn't have beat out Raw if I hadn't sold off a bunch of my prime minor league assets to acquire Webb, Ordonez & Halladay prior to the deadline. I was well behind before I made those trades.

I just hope the prime minor leaguers you traded for Webb work out better than prime minor leaguers you've traded me in the past (e.g. Floyd, McPherson). :D

The key to production from minor leaguers is to have a bunch of really good ones. You don't really know which ones will come through and which won't, so playing the odds is key.

And I dealt with a couple injuries and ineffective players. Sheffield went down. Hamels is still out. Gallardo had an ugly stretch. Morneau and Uggla had bad slumps. A lot of day-to-day stuff too.

I finished about 200 points behind you, but nobody else finished within 200 points of me.

i knew there was something different.

still, my 2006 score is over 900 points better than the top 2007 score. and wouldn't the pitching stuff boost 2007's scores?

basically, what i'm getting at is that i'm awesome (or that i was awesome).

yea, but pitcher scoring is up raw. I think Ryan Braun singlehandedly cost me the first draft pick!
