Does Soto have a shot at Minor League Player of the Year?

I assume he's the Cubs - let me know if you think otherwise - but I don't know the rest of the leagues well enough. Is he in the running?? (Have the Cubs ever had one?)

The real question is if he has any chance to become the starter next year? If we re-sign Kendall, I'll be pissed...even though he has been good with the Cubs. Because if we do, Soto is screwed. Blanco is getting severely overpaid to be a backup next year and the Cubs aren't gonna eat that money.

 

But, yes, Soto should have a bit of a chance at MLBPOY, because the other guys who were tearing it up have already been significantly contributing at the major league level for the past few months.
