cal, in yesterday's thread you mentioned Hughes being in there for quite a while. Can you share any information or insights on prospects or the way the Cubs handle prospects from stuff he said? Or impressions on Hughes the guy, in terms of how smart or dumb or competent or incompetent he sounded? Thanks in advance.

Raisin won't be back until late Sunday night, but I'd imagine he'll read this eventually and post about it.

Grant Johnson brought his ERA back down to 2.00 with a 2 inning, 5 K save.

Suarez was doing well through 2 (1 hit, 1 walk, 4 Ks) before falling apart. He did finish with 6 Ks, though.

Looks like it's a 4 era.

Yeah, that's a big typo. Kinda ruins the sarcasm, too.

Tim mentioned some of the types of things Oneri said in a different game thread...he was really just talking about the game and nothing too interesting. He was really raving about Colvin and Veal (who was starting and having a good outing). Talked about how Veal worked out of some jams and said he's a hard worker and smart pitcher. Nothing really big, though.
