The Marshall bashing is so completely ridiculous that it boggles the mind.

Its getting comical now seriously. I really wonder what games they are watching with some of the comments regarding Marshall.

i'm pretty sure there are people on this board who still think starting pitching is our biggest problem

All of the bashing should be reserved for the offense and its deranged architect, Jim Hendry.

Exactly. Its funny alot of people here including myself could see the holes in this offense, which is why we were wanting a big bat so bad, but our own GM says things like"Im hopeful Cliff Floyd finds his power stroke" "I like our offense, we have been scoring runs real well the last month"

Hey Jim try a little forward thinking, and take things as a whole, instead of a 1 month hot streak.

Floyd can hit some monster foul HR though. Those should count for at least 1/2 a run or maybe just a 1/3. Add them up and he might have one full run every once in a while.

The good news: Will Ohman can't be brought in to face righties at the ML level for the next 10 days.

The bad news: Scott Eyre is now the only lefthanded arm out of the pen. UGH.

Only having 1 lefty isnt really that bad of a thing. The Cubs are going against traditional thinking by not having a loogy, which makes sense considering Wood, Weurtz, Howry, and Marmol can all get lefties out.

While I would have preferred for Eyre to be gone I realize that, to the Cubs management, that really isn't a feasible option. But I am more than happy that Ohman has been sent down and am most definitely not complaining.

I don't really like the idea of a loogy in the first place especially when there's a 50/50 chance the manager is going to leave him in to face a righty.

The guys who can get the guys out are the ones I want pitching. I don't care if they throw lefthanded, righthanded or with their feet. As long as they get guys out.

Which is absolutely absurd.

I have a feeling that we are going to see Carmen Pignatelo up in CHI pretty soon.

So you obviously know something we don't. :) Any chance you know the corresponding move to this?

Is he even on the 40 man?

I wish I knew the corresponding move. They do not have to make a corresponding move until Floyd comes off the bereavement list, not sure when that would be.

No he is not.

Yes they do. Floyd going on the bereavement list was offset by Ward coming off the DL, so the roster is at the full 25 even without Floyd. They'd need to make a move now if Fox and/or Pigs really do come up, and they'd need to make another move when Floyd comes off the bereavement list.

You are exactly right I forgot about Ward. How could I forget a bout Ward? :P
