Any one know why they brought in Myers with the pitcher's spot coming up third in the top of the 10th? I'm not watching the game ... was something wrong with Romero?

Nope, Romero worked through the lefties and Manuel wanted Myers to face the righty Damian Miller ( :shock: ). Myers is batting for himself with 2 down.

They wanted a righty vs righty matchup. Pretty sure the Phillies are low on position players since Roberson PR for Burrell, Helms PH for Dobbs and Victorino and Bourne were hurt vs Cubs. gameday seems to say they don't have anyone on the bench but I assume they at least have a C or two.

Nope, he just made the change.

 

BTW, the 10th looks like a throwaway inning for the Phils since they have no bench left (Manuel used it making the comeback). Myers up now. So they'll need to get through the next inning to have any real shot.

They have 13 pitchers right now so Parra will likely pitch for 4 innings or so, he's a good hitter so he can hit for himself.
