ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Things not looking good in Cubland right now. I know Soriano has been pretty mediocre lately but this team can't afford to lose any power hitters.

He's day to day. Like I said before, the Cubs survived without DLee and Aramis for stretches this year and I think they are both more important to the offense than Sori.

This wouldn't be as big of a deal if the pitchers hadn't surrendered 7 runs tonight. Hell, the Cubs have barely been giving up 4 runs/game, on average, as a staff. Bad night.

Yeah, but it's still one game. For every 7-run night, there's a 1-run night; we've had those too. That's the power of averages.

The Cubs have one of the best pitching staffs in the NL; Coming into this game, the Cubs were tied for 2nd best in the NL with a 3.87 team ERA (also best in the NLC). By contrast, the Brewers staff ERA is 4.23.

It's just a bad night by Cubs pitchers. It's not like they often allow 7 ERs.

It's 80 degrees and the sun is down in Chicago and Castillo has heat exhaustion?

Dusty Baker is scratching his head in the ESPN studio.

Murton gets to play the 9th inning. He should feel lucky.

Anything less than a grand slam in his next at bat will result in all future 9th inning playing time being revoked. It's a test of his will, considering he's due up 3rd.

Well now he needs to score 5 runs with that Grand Slam, so he really has a chore ahead.

Since the last game of the St. Louis series, both the starters and bullpen have been pretty bad.

Over/under on the number of times Glavine's wife is on camera in the ninth inning = 9 times

She's hot, why are you complaining?

Because if she gets any more unearned exposure she'll have to change her name to Paris.

Meh. I'd have sex with her.

I'd hit it 300 times.

Nice play by Murton in right.

Are people that desperate to complement him that he gets credit for catching a line drive hit right at him?

Pagan couldn't make a catch, so it's apparently not a skill we should take for granted.

Another other word on Soriano?

I imagine he will probably get an MRI done.

will we know something by tomorrow?

Probably. If he's getting an MRI I don't know why they would wait.

Western Springs, IL is going to kick New Albany's butt on Wednesday night on their way to Williamsport.
