Craig went to the DL the day after he came up:

 

July 26 Matt Craig INF Promoted from AA Tennessee

July 27 Matt Craig INF Placed in disabled list (hand)

 

Petrick went to the DL yesterday - right shoulder

Not good news for Petrick. His fastball went from 96mph to 87mph in a week span.

Friday, Josh Kroeger was placed on the disabled list with a strained oblique joining Billy Petrick who was placed on the disabled list Wednesday. Infielder Matt Craig was activated from the disabled list

Those oblique injuries aren't pretty. I wouldn't be surprised if Kroeger and Petrick are done for what is left of the season.

I swear I never heard of strained obliques until the last 2 years or so. Now it seems like its the most common injury out there.

It's a lot more common and worse for pitchers. Babe Ruth and his beer-belly are laughing at these guys from heaven.
