Chicago Tribune - The Cubs are planning on starting Felix Pie in center in '08, and seem comfortable with Jacque Jones there for the time being.

 

But if they wanted to make a move that could help them in September and pay dividends in future years, center fielder Rocco Baldelli is due to return from a hamstring injury soon and the Devil Rays are content with keeping B.J. Upton in center.

 

Baldelli was a Lou Piniella favorite in Tampa, but is injury-prone and relatively expensive. He makes $750,000 this year and $2.25 million in '08. He has a $6 million option in '09, and a $4 million buyout.

Obviously I meant in terms of history of injuries... Griffey's about as glass as you can get this side of Cliff Floyd.

He barely played this season.

 

Hes the equivalent of Mark Prior with lesser potential, but better chance of being healthy. (Not saying that as a good thing or a bad thing)
