Everyday? No.

 

Platoon? Yes.

 

With Derosa jumping to RF vs. LH'ers, you can put him in a similar position as he has been with the Astros alternating between 2B and SS.

Buccholz+ for Oswalt.

 

It's a win-win move for both organizations. The Astros aren't going anywhere for awhile and the Red Sox don't want to wait for Buccholz to produce at the ML level.

 

You're mistaken there - they value their young arms TREMENDOUSLY! They already bumped Buccholz up to AAA recently and if there is one arm in their minor league system they consider to be untouchable, it would be his.

Not that I recall, he went to Northwestern and spent time at Wrigley while at NU.

 

I think that is where it stems from. I'll see if i can find it. I think he loathes the Cubs since his days at NU for whatever reason.
