Johnny Estrada took an easy foul out for granted and dropped it.

Todd Helton has new life with one out.

Helton has already seen 18 pitches tonight.

Sheets at 66 pitches so far.

He's coming out. Gallardo apparently about to come in.

Not a blister. He threw and his finger popped and he is grimacing every time the trainer touches it.

I hate to see injuries, but I love the predicament this puts the Brewers in. Villanueva was used up yesterday and now Gallardo is going to have to give them 2-3 innings today.

Definitely not a blister, it's worse. The announcers were thinking it could be a ligament...which would be a long-term injury.

how does that happen? throwing a pitch shouldn't cause that type of injury. did he hit it on his leg during a follow through?

I hope for the sake of the race that Sheets isn't out very long. Sure it'll help the Cubs catch the Brewers, but I'd rather both teams be at their best.

No, it happened on the pitch (it was a curve).

Wow, I thought that was gone. Huzzah for both Hardy and Prince hitting it to CF.
