How about a deal with the Mets?

Paul LaDuca recently made some comments that upset some of his team mates. Since he's a free agent and the Mets are hurting for OFs, how about a deal like Jones plus a prospect for the half-year rental of LaDuca. Certainly would improve the black hole at C.

As bad as his .713 OPS is, he'd be a huge upgrade over what we have now. If the Mets would take Jones+prospect for him, I'd definitely be all for it.

I hate LoDuca and hes horrible, but unforutnately he'd be an upgrade for us. The Mets hate him, so it's a plausible idea.

Most catchers with a pulse would be upgrades. We could probably remove Jody Davis as manager of Daytona, call him up, and make him catcher; and there's a reasonable chance that he'd out produce the tandem we're using now.
