Why did the Nats starter have to leave the game? I missed the start of the inning.

because he sucked.

I thought they would have been used to that by now.

Schneider has the ugliest catchers mask i've seen in a while

It looks like it came from a bargain bin.

Unfortunately for the Nats this guy appears to suck as well

3 more rbi's tonight for DeRosa. He's definitely earning his pay. Edited by E.J.

It's an extremely slow game...but if we can abuse the guys in the Nats pen, it may help us for the remainder of the series.

That's what I am hoping for-let's get over half their bullpen in the game tonight, and then they won't have as many available when Redding pitches tomorrow. That was just 37 pitches by Traber in the last inning-he can't last much longer if at all.

I'm also hoping for a complete game from Lilly. That would give everyone in our pen except Marmol two days of rest.

That would be great but he's already at 60 pitches

Lilly has thrown 60+ pitches today in 3.2 innings. He'll need to be much more efficient in order to go deep into the seventh inning, much less throw a complete game.

Yeah, like others have said, that probably will be too much to ask for with Lilly's pitch count. Hopefully the Cubs can keep it a blowout and Eyre can come in and mop up though. Also, Z is pitching tomorrow, so the bullpen probably won't have to go that long with how deep he has been going in games.

I'm gonna go ahead and proclaim we don't have to worry about anything historical happening tonight. It's Ted Lilly. Yes, it's the Nationals. But it's Ted Lilly.
