I am coming to Chicago on Friday the 13th (on vacation) to see the Cubs pound the Astros. This will be my third trip to Wrigley but the other two were on business so I saw night games. I will land at Midway at 9:10 AM for a 1:20 PM first pitch and I was wondering how early I should arrive (hotel downtown and I am taking the El) and if I should go ahead and buy a ticket on the internet or is there a better option around Wrigley on game day. Any help is appreciated. I plan on drinking plenty so how accessable are restrooms and beer stand/vendors in the bleachers?

Thanks in advance & Go Cubs!

Welcome to NSBB!

I would suggest getting there at 11:30ish if you want first row seats.

I'm not experienced on buying tickets off the street, maybe someone else can help you with that.

The bathrooms & vendors are fairly accessible. Just make sure someone watches your seat & belongings when you go.

Welcome to the forums!

As Omar said, gates open about 2 hours before gametime.

It's hard to say about the bleacher ticket, because it depends a lot on your comfort level in terms of having a guaranteed ticket before arriving as well as buying around Wrigley. There are several ticket brokers surrounding Wrigley that you can check out. If you go to Murphy's, you'll probably hear a few people offering to sell tickets. It's up to your risk tolerance level! If you decide to buy the day of the game, you're going to need to make a beeline to the park from your hotel, since you'll probably want to get in fairly early to get a good seat.

There are no walking beer vendors in the bleachers. There are several beer stands in the area behind the bleachers as well as on the first floor level. Bathroom access was expanded and improved greatly when they upgraded the bleachers. Either way, though, expect to walk up and down stairs (to and from your seat, if nothing else) every time you want a beer or a bathroom break.

You might try stubhub or Ebay for your ticket as well.

On Stubhub, the cheapest bleacher ticket he can buy is $76. $69 on Ticketsnow.

Bleacher tickets are sold out for that game on Cubs.com.

If Bleachers arent that important, You can get upper deck tickets for a good price. $19-20 for the back sections.

I think I will buy a ticket online and just bust my tail and try to get there 11:30-12:00ish. I am looking forward to it and I know the Cub fans around me will be hospitable and show me the ropes.

May the Brewers walk by a mirror and realize they are really the Brewers causing them to finish like....well...Brewers.
