As of June 3, the Smokies have 3 of the top 4 slugging %'s in the Southern League - Kroeger .607, Fox .545 and Craig .543. Kroeger and Craig are 1 and 2 in OPS at 1.049 and .994, and 1 and 3 in AVG at .364 and .346.

I don't think so. At least not with us. I see him being used as part of a trade. Soto emerging with the bat and possibly drafting Wieters would help make a Fox trade more bearable.

Fox reminds me of Brandon Sing. Both guys put up some big power numbers, while repeating levels, without having a true position in the field.

The top 3 slugging % in the Southern League are Smokies - Kroeger .635, Fox .532, Craig .518

 

1-2-7 in average - Kroeger .393, Craig .343, Cortes .324

 

1-3 in OPS - Kroeger 1.098, Craig .956

 

1-4-7 in OBP - Kroeger .463, Craig .438, Cortes .415

keep in mind tennessee is one of the best hitting parks in the SL for HRs. WT was a good HR park but Tenn is even better.

How much easier? What I mean is are the difference between parks meaningful. Say like PetCo vs. GAB. Are they all within a standard deviation?

Very significant differential for Fox, somewhat for Kroeger, not so much for Craig.

Actually Pringles Park is one of the toughest places to homer.. especially June-Aug when most nights have little or no breeze.

 

It was alot tougher to homer before they cut all the trees down to make the little league fields.
