What is Murton's GB%?

49.4%... last year it was 57.7%. Too high.

edit - jock's GB% is also way too high for a corner outfielder

catchers like Ausmus, Pagnozzi, Matheny and Molina have played in more postseason games than Barrett has.

so have jorge posada and mike piazza

Thanks, I was waiting for someone to bring that up.

Posada's and Piazza's teams had a lot more chance of making the postseason without them than the Cubs have with Barrett. Even though those two aren't /weren't the smartest or best defensive catchers, their numbers were better than Barrett's to justify their bad defense and poor plays. Can't say the same for Barrett.

looks like derosa is still sucking it up at night

come on man. you know what i meant.

yeah, you got upset at a baserunning mistake and said something silly. it's ok.

J-Shils just open up some stat sheets or ignore him. I know you're not in this game thread to argue with someone you're just here cheering the Cubs.

I don't disagree. Many times Barrett's been entirely passable, IMHO. He's just playing like an extra special bonehead lately.

it's almost time for barrett's bi-weekly stupid throw to third to pick off a guy who's already standing on the base.

LOL, nice throw Rammy.

This one's going south. Don't they all go south? When was the last time we played well again?

The fundamentals of this team are just atrocious. Aram has been looking gold glove over there too, Lee needs to pick that.

The first two games against the White Sox?

Well I'll say, they are making mistakes and they are getting compounded by being unlucky. This is insane.

Was that this year? Wait, I think we've had snow since then right?

oh come on, lee probably scoops out more of those than any other first baseman in the game. He's not going to get them all... ARam had plenty of time and made a bad throw.
