We should object to stupid decisions and praise good ones; a good decision in a bad game is still a good decision, and a bad decision in a good game is still a bad decision.

 

Sure, the volume should change depending on whether we are currently happy or sad. And,yes, it makes no sense to belabor minor negatives when things are overwhelmingly positive. But none of that implies that there should be a ban on criticism when things are going well. It's perfectly legitimate to object to stupid decisions whenever and wherever they arise.
