They just showed Kip Wells just randomly staring around the stadium while on the mound. Looked odd.

He's on another planet.

He just forgot to cover first, and *barely* made it.

its too bad espn has this game on because now the entire country has to watch them...plus, then they get espn running it into the ground and talkin about it over and over

In the other game, St. Louis looks awful. Kip Wells just threw the ball into the seats behind 1B, then KEVIN MENCH steals 3rd because no ones paying attention, then Wells BALKS him home. Wow.

3-0 Milwaukee

Why do they have to be playing the one team that I want them to beat?

Milwaukee doesn't look special or anything, St. Louis just doesn't look like they want to be on the field. I know Spezio asked out of the lineup already; they showed him in the dugout and he looked to be halfway to tears.

Really sucks, I feel bad for them.

this cards-brew game is just depressing... the cardinals look so listless.

I'm watching them on Fox's Missouri channel, which is only because it's baseball, and..it's the only baseball on TV.

I agree, Cardinals should not be on ESPN tonight. No way.

The Cards just..they're just not all there tonight. Give them a break and try again tomorrow.

Yup. The local fans will want to watch the game regardless, but why the hell would ESPN pick this/stay with this for a national broadcast? I don't know if I'm being anal or what, but it seems really unclassy to me. And zooming in on Spezio and dissecting his attitude while he's obviously in emotional pain? Come on.

Yeah, they keep showing Hancock's jersey hanging in the bullpen/dugout. It's like their pulling on the heart strings of the viewers. Things are hard enough for their fans they don't need the constant reminder...

Maybe it's just me but I also didn't like how ESPN, seemingly, exploited the death of Corey Lidle for ratings.

wasn't this game scheduled to be on ESPN since the beginning of the year? If so, it's silly to blame ESPN for airing it.

I was hoping for some WSOP reruns, actually.

Alternatively, they could just put Joe Morgan and Dusty Baker together, and give them a microphone for a few hours.
