05 Padres

April 11 -13

05 Yankees

April 10 -14

So three more in 2005.

Should bother to go further?

Nah, but it is quite interesting to see how many teams who make the playoffs get off to bad starts. I actually felt better as well when looking at all those teams who had losing records in April-it's not an aberration, but a regular occurrence for that to happen to at least 2-3 teams.

I was really shocked. In the last two years, 6 teams under .500, one team at .500, one team one game over .500 Out of 16 playeff teams.

How many of those teams were also coming off 90 loss seasons when they started slowly in April?

All slow starts are not equal. Of that group, the only one I can think of that was coming off a bad year was the Dodgers.

I just hope nobody views your posts and starts thinking of this as a playoff team.

Looks like the Dodgers were the only team below .500 the previous season.

for all the early talk..here's a stat for you no team since the start of teh wild card has finished below .500 in april and made the playoffs. none.

right now we can not finish at .500 for april.

I know there can always be a first and i know the astros were bad when they made a run..but it is very frustrating to contiue to find ways to lose instead of finding ways to lose.

plain and simple hendry is gone when the sale happnes. hopefully he will be trying to fix things well enough that he can be hired someplace else. right now no one will touch him with the crap he has compiled over 3 years with large amounts of spending!
