When Will Today's Game Be Called (If At All?)

The game has officially been postponed. Rescheduled for July 12th.

 

It's this stuff that OFFICIALLY pisses me off. Great. Now we get 2 off-days, and they probably rescheduled it during a long game streak with no breaks. It should have been rescheduled for tommorow. End of story. This is stupid excecutive baseball.

 

It was added to the end of the All Star Break so instead of 4 day ASB, they get 3 days off.

 

That's not so bad. I just have a thing against too many off days in the first half of the season, as opposed to getting more rest during the stretch run.

Woo, cant say Im disappointed about the cancellation as this means I dont have to see Marquis pitch next Friday against the Cardinals when Im there. Now it should be Lilly, who Id much rather see then Marquis.

 

You're right-I didn't even see that. This move of pitchers is not a great thing for that first Cardinals series-now the Cubs have Lilly, Marquis, and Miller going in that series with nothing really to be able to do about it. If they skip Miller again on the next Thursday the off day (which I suspect they will with the Cardinals series coming up) that means they could throw Marquis, Z, and Hill when they visit St. Louis though.

Instead of leaving work around 1130, and going to the game, I got to stay at work and have nothing to occupy my time during the day.
