Yeah I thought the predictions weren't bad at all except I might switch the Astros and Brewers. I also think the Reds, Cardinals and Cubs will all be within a few games of 500 in this mediocre division. I wonder what his Clemens assumption was...

It's interesting. His biggest weakness is that he can't account for injuries.

 

Maybe he should re-run the numbers at the All-Star break to account for changes in rosters. Or better yet, after the trade deadline.

His system has always produced a higher standard deviation among wins. Just look at the Yankees predictions the last few seasons

2005 113

2004 117

2003 110

2002 102

2001 98

2000 96

1999 108

1998 94

 

In 2005 he also predicted the Red Sox to win 107. In 2004 he had the Red Sox at 106. In 2003 he had the Mariners and Red Sox at 106 too.
