Cubs lineup

Theriot, 2B

Jones, CF

Lee, 1B

Floyd, LF

Murton, RF

Cedeno, SS

Perez, 3B

Blanco, C

Marquis, P

Wow, I guess the Cubs are still shopping Jones.

Even if Jones ends up going nowhere, I like the idea of Murton and Floyd being able to play at the same time.

That's what I was thinking as well. I'm not sure this spells the end for Jacque (the fact that the Cubs implied yesterday that they didn't want Floyd to play all that much makes it much less likely that they trade an OF now IMO), but rather it now increases the number of combinations they can play in the field.

Lou already said that he wanted to see if Jones can back up Soriano-well, somebody is going to have to play RF on those days, and it would be nice to know that somebody can play the position besides Theriot/DeRosa, who might be needed on the infield.

Could also mean Lou's thinking any time Theriot would see in OF would be little and needs him almost exclusively for IF backup

Does MLB.com provide gamecasts for spring training games ??

here is today's:

http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/y2006/gd.html?2007_03_21_texmlb_chnmlb_1&brand=mlb

Thanks for the link. Tell me, where did you find it ? I've been all over their sight and I didn't see it !!

I can't find them either, so I just type in the url manually (a little trial and error involved). :(

I'll try to post them in each ST game thread.

I like the change for TV. Hopefully, we'll still get to see Murton in RF during the Spring.

Yeah, it's not too difficult once you notice the pattern in each day's link (and the abbreviations for each team)

A caveat, though: Gameday hasn't been updating balls and strikes for the whole of Spring training, just the at bat outcomes. So when it looks like everyone's swinging on the first pitch, walks are 4-0 and K's are 0-3, they really aren't.

(There's a joke in there, but I'll let someone else have it ;))

Jason's got some good movement right now. I haven't seen the velocity getting quite as high as I'd like, though.
