At least IU showed they can compete with top teams. It would have been nice to have seen how the game would have turned out if IU had been able to successfully inbound the ball after the UCLA free throws near the end.

IU missed 11 of 21 free throws. If they make 3 of those (would have put them at 61%) they would have been up 3 instead of tied late. Great comeback, sucks to lose because you can't inbound the ball. I was saying all game though, they would lose because of the FT shooting. The comeback was inevitable, because there was no way, we would continue to shoot 18% with the firepower IU has from outside.

 

DJ White was great. If he stays, IU is a potential Final 4 team.

Free throw shooting also cost Xavier a win over Ohio State. If Xavier had hit both free throws with 10 seconds left they would have been up by 4, and unless they would have been stupic enough to foul OSU in the act of shooting they would have won. But that's how it frequently is in close games, one play making the difference.
