Jake Fox sighting.

Gameday took it back, Daryle Ward got a walk instead.

Yeah I saw that.

Gameday has gone crazy on me.

And now Jake Fox replaces Daryle Ward defensively at first base in the bottom of the 7th. Gameday is on crack.

ETA: And now Fox moves to C.

Cotts so far this spring: 6.0 IP, 5 R, 9 R, 16 H, 1 K/0 BB

7.0 IP, 6 ER, 10 R, 17 H, 3 K/0 BB. That's a 2.42 WHIP.

That's disgusting!

Bottom 7TH B:0 S:0 O:1

Scott Hairston doubles (1) on a line drive to left fielder Jesus Valdez.

Huh, who is Jesus Valdez?

Minor league OF, he was at Peoria last season and will be at Daytona this coming season.

Is Cotts guaranteed a spot on the team? There is no way he has earned one on merit.

God, let's hope not. He sure doesn't deserve one.

Probably, he doesn't have any PAs before today.

Didn't the Cubs draft Micah Owings in a later round a couple of years ago? Just checked out his line, looks like he was pretty impressive today.

They did but he decided to go back to school.

Yeah, the Cubs took him as a 19th rounder in 2004 (as a sophomore - he slipped because of his bonus demands) and he returned to college.
