I was reading articles on teams around the league and ran across Richard Justice's op-ed piece on the Astros.

While I know the Astros added Carlos Lee and traded for Jason Jennings, I think they took a step back this winter. If I were an Astros fan, I wouldn't be optimistic about a team that replaces Clemens and Pettitte with Jason Jennings.

But, optimism abounds...Astros Look Set to Make Another Run.

Here are a few snippets.

They seem poised for another playoff run, but they also have some huge questions. That's true of every other team in the National League Central as well.

He does acknowledge they have questions, but I'd dispute they are poised for a run.

We think the Cubs make optimistic predictions, but look at this one...

If Scott, Burke and Ensberg all hit, the Astros almost certainly will be going back to the playoffs.

That's equivalent to my saying, "If Prior pitches like he did in 2003, Marquis pitches like he did in 2005, and Wade Miller like he did in 2001, the Cubs are going to a World Series.

There's more, but I'm about to vomit. Be back in a sec.
