Send them Hill, Murton, Izzy and maybe an additional starter/reliever/prospect, maybe get something else back, balance it how you wish - just get it done.

 

Then we trade for a platoon for Jones.

 

So we have...

2B DeRosa

1B Lee

SS Tejada

3B Ramirez

LF Jones/platoon

C Barrett

CF Pie

 

Zambrano

Lilly

Marquis

Miller/Prior

Marmol/Marshall/Guzman/Cotts

 

That line-up would make up for a weak staff, and who knows - If Prior and Miller both work out then the rotation looks OK.

 

In addition to this, why not go all out and trade for Dunn in LF. Send them Jones, Eyre and a combination of any pitchers/prospects they want not including Z.
