    In a nutshell... go and get Tejada. Send them Hill, Murton, Izzy and maybe an additional starter/reliever/prospect, maybe get something else back, balance it how you wish - just get it done. Then we trade for a platoon for Jones. So we have... RF Soriano 2B DeRosa 1B Lee SS Tejada 3B Ramirez LF Jones/platoon C Barrett CF Pie Zambrano Lilly Marquis Miller/Prior Marmol/Marshall/Guzman/Cotts That line-up would make up for a weak staff, and who knows - If Prior and Miller both work out then the rotation looks OK. In addition to this, why not go all out and trade for Dunn in LF. Send them Jones, Eyre and a combination of any pitchers/prospects they want not including Z. Line-up: RF Soriano 1B Lee LF Dunn SS Tejada 3B Ramirez C Barrett 2B De Rosa CF Pie Lets go for it in '07, who's with me?

    UK - as in University of Kentucky? If so, great. I live in Lex and work for/attend UK. no, of course i wouldn't tell the truth to someone random. but this conversation was with a media member and off the record. as a journalism undergrad and former reporter, i can tell you that sources are usually willing to open up when you tell them "off the record". they know that a reporter is only as good as his word to sources and one eff up can ruin that. its actually UK as in United Kingdom, moving to within a minutes walk of Wrigley Field next week though! 8) Fair enough, but lets hope that JH was not being truthful in this case!!! :wink:

    maybe JH is keeping his cards close to his chest and not telling everybody who his real targets are and who he is willing to and not willing to trade. If you were him would you tell the truth to someone random like your buddy?

    my bracelet broke at work one day, which was very strange, i think the cubs won that day so i didnt buy another one until the winning streak ended (which wasnt very long) then after the last game debacle in atlanta i cut my bracelet off in anger. will not buy another one until i truly believe again, maybe after july 31 :D
