Ichiro makes Juan Pierre look like a pile of puke, and Pierre just got 5/45. How much would Ichiro get if he were an FA today? I'd guess 4/50, just because he's getting a little old. If he were 3 years younger and on the market today he'd get a Godzilla-sized deal.

 

 

BTW, Ichiro's current contract expires after 2007.

See, I don't think Pierre gets 5/45 if he's competing with several other CFs (and many are better players).

 

Teams need to fill a void and end up getting desperate to outbid each other when there's more scarcity in the market.

i think Crawford would get around a 8 to 10 year contract.. and money around 110 to 150..... thats what i think... and as for Ichiro... i think he would get a 4/60 type contract :shock:

Based on Soriano's and Matthews' contracts I think 8/120 is a good guess.
