Haven't heard a peep about Gagne so far this offseason, he's a free agent, that I know. Has he recovered from his latest injury problem?

A bullpen of Howry, Wood, Wuertz, Rapada, Cotts and Marmol, and then adding Gagne to close, would be FILTHY. I am assuming Eyre and Ohman are trade bait obviously, and I think nothing of Spongebob Novoa.

He's supposed to have a throwing session at some point in the offseason to show that he is healthy. Until then, I doubt many teams are showing interest in him

Maybe buy low?

Hmm...so maybe now is the time for Hendry to pounce, when the shine is off? We know JH's modus operandi at this point is to act early, before others become competitors. He did it last year with Howry and Eyre, he's done it this year now with Fonzie.

If Gagne is healthy enough to be even half the closer he was in 03 and 04, he would be an incredible weapon for our bullpen. We know Lou Pa longs for the days of the Nasty Boys. Ya think he might like a late inning 1-2-3 of Howry, Wood and Gagne? Phew!

We have enough money thrown at injury concerns with our pitching and our bullpen is pretty deep.

I don't think Hendry has a choice. Gagne and his agent (Boras?) are probably waiting for the throwing session to drive up the price. If he does well, he might get a multi-year deal. If he can't throw, then he'll just end up with the same type of contract he would have gotten had he signed earlier

I get the distinct impression there's no purported interest in him by any teams because it'sjust assumed he'll re-sign with the Dodgers on a low base incentive laden deal a la Wood.

That's just my impression though. Take it for what it's worth.
