I'm working on a paper for a class trying to explain how the changes in a baseball have resulted in more offensive production over the years.

Taking a look at that data there seems to be no correlation between years and offensive production.

What stats out there might support the dead ball era?

Also, does anyone know of any links outlining the changes to the ball?

The problem with the changes to the ball is that, in recent years, I don't think anyone has ever conclusively proven that the ball is indeed juiced.

If you were trying to argue more for changes in the rules or expansion as being reasons behind the fluctuations in those numbers, you'd have a lot more information to back it up. However, dealing with the ball itself is much harder to quantify.
