Cubs raising payroll?

I was listening to Murph. According to him, there are "rumors" the Cubs are raising payroll (and not just the 30m off the books from past players). He says, Stone thinks it, Mr. Miles thinks it. Now I don't usually get hyped over "rumors" but he mentioned the always credible Mr. Miles.

 

Has there been any other rumblings of this in newspapers or other stations?

It depends how much. They were at 95 last year, so perhaps they are going to "Raise it" to 100. Who knows. I'll believe it when I see it...
