From Tribune:

"There's no justice," Pierre said. "He gets blamed for guys' injuries, for the way we played on the field, doing the little things wrong. It doesn't reflect on him in any way. To hear fans booing him and things like that, it's sad. He shouldn't get blamed for it.

Really, Juan? How should we judge our manager? By how he makes our players feel all warm and fuzzy inside?

From the Suntimes a few days ago:

''He never ripped us, No. 1, because we were going out there and playing so bad,'' Pierre said.

Well, maybe he should have.

From Jacque in the Tribune:

"There's been so much hate and animosity toward him, like he's the total blame for what's going on, and that's not right, that's not fair," Jones said. "Anybody here will tell you he's part of the blame, but there's blame on everybody around here.

Actually, Jacque, I think there's one person who would not tell you that.

It's kind of funny that Dusty's best support is from guys saying "it's not all his fault".

Guys are saying it's all been put on him, but the only way you can think that is if nobody was booing/complaining about the players and the front office.

Dusty isn't getting all the blame. He's been the most visible target, but not the only target. But that's how leadership works. The leaders of a failing organization take the most heat.

Guys will stand up for Dusty because he gives them a free pass and no-one is held accountable.

Hell if I had a boss that let me do whatever, defended me no matter what I would love the guy too.

I definitely was not a fan of either Pierre's or Jacques comments, but it was mostly the tone that they were said in. I don't think Pierre will come back and Jacque will be one unhappy camper if he is not unloaded.

I think Jones attitude would depend on who the next manager is. Dusty gave him a chance to be an everyday player and didn't really sit him out when a lefty was starting so of course Jones liked that.

Unless he's embarrassed by looking like crap vs lefties and would prefer to sit, which would artificially raise his numbers.

I don't think any competitive athlete likes to sit out. I would like to see a manager sell it to him that it would be in the best interest of the team that he is platooned but IMO it would be a tough sell unless the team has a very good start and both the RF's are doing well.
