Sullivan's writing went down hill when Hendry and MacPhail chastized him.

 

I think he is afraid that any piece critical of managment will get him fired.

I disagree, it's only sensible to blame the managers more than the players (assuming the managers are screwing up)

Players generally can't help being bad at baseball. Managers like, say, Dusty, make mental mistakes which are the result of beliefs/attitudes they hold which can be changed

this is why I boo(ed) hendry and not neifi. One is capable of no longer being terrible.

Of course, it's probably true that more blame should be placed on the players (which means hendry) than Dusty. Thing is, Dusty's job is easier than hendry's. The mistakes are more glaring.
