What's his contract status? I know he was traded to Oakland, but did he sign an extension or is he arbitration eligible?

He could be another outfield possibility to look at, and one that I wouldn't mind having.

I don't want him, but not because of the normal baggage people associate with him. I was for looking at him in the offseason, but he's missed around 9-10 weeks this year due to injuries, which is consistant with 4 of the last 5 years of his career. We don't need any more great players who are good for 80-100 games a year, if that.

Bradley is still sporting a .360 OBP. The only thing that scares me off is the injuries. I've been advocating Milton for the last 2 years, but I'm starting to cool off from it because of what Hendry has done with this team. With Bradley never playing a full season, you need a good backup plan for when he does go down. Not necessarily a bad thing if the player is worth it (and I believe Bradley would be for the money and production) when healthy. But the problem is the Cubs possibly need a backup plan at the other 2 OF spots. If you accompanied Bradley with say, Craig Wilson, then you have a solid group if the manager uses them appropriately. With Jones backing up Bradley in CF, Wilson platooning in RF with Jones and playing matchups with the 4 (Murton including).

Of course, the Cubs would still need an IF upgrade, IMO.

the backup would be at AAA.
